STEEL CUBE TOGO SARL is a major industrial company based in Kara (northern Togo) and the first in the manufacturing of international quality FE 500 and FE 650 rebar, medical and non-medical oxygen.
For its HR needs, STEEL CUBE SARL is recruiting a dynamic and talented Hygiene, Health, Safety and Environment Manager (HSE Manager) fluent in French and English.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
Under the authority of the General Management:
Design and implement the company’s hygiene, safety, health and environmental management policy in accordance with national regulations and international standards;
Implement means of preventing risks linked to activity on the factory site and measures to protect the health of workers;
Develop a risk map and implement a risk prevention plan;
Coordinate the assessment of professional risks and propose appropriate corrective actions;
Identify and analyze malfunctions and non-conformities, diagnose the causes and define corrective actions;
Develop HSE procedures according to company standards and procedures and monitor their application compliance:
Implement a strategic plan for waste, pollution and nuisance management;
Participate in accident/incident investigations and take corrective and preventive measures;
Define and implement performance indicators to assess the proper functioning of teams;
Identify, assess and implement protective measures for the safety of people and property;
Lead health and safety meetings and develop efficient working relationships with all stakeholders working on the factory site;
Raise awareness and train all workers in the HSE approach;
Coach the Health and Safety at Work Committee;
Ensure compliance with internal regulations, HSE instructions and any decisions of general management;
Ensure that all operations carried out at the factory comply with procedures and that all teams on site work safely;
Produce monthly and quarterly HSE reports on the HSE performance of its management through the annual objectives and indicators defined by the HSE Management Plan;
Organize daily, monthly or multi-annual inspections of all company activities with the stakeholders concerned by the HSE Management plan (Workers, Representatives, Safety Committee, Management);
Educate, raise awareness and communicate on HSE issues at all levels by triggering meetings or participating in safety talks at the start of the shift and by implementing any other means (displays, video projections, etc.);
Carry out workplace safety training with the relevant departments as needed;
Ensure local and international regulatory monitoring of HSE issues;
Perform any other tasks required by management.

REQUIRED PROFILE
Hold at least a Bachelor’s degree in HSE or equivalent with additional professional qualifications in HSE including professional certification and/or a NEBOSH diploma;
Have proven experience of ten (10) years or more in HSE in the Togolese industrial sector with five (5) years or more in a similar position;
Master the national regulations and HSE standards applicable in Togo;
To have a strong personality;
Master all administrative procedures required by national regulations regarding hygiene, health, safety and the environment at work;
Speak French and English fluently;
Be aged 30 to 40 years at most on 12/31/2024;
Demonstrate great availability and good work organization;
Have good interpersonal skills with training skills;
Ability to develop professional leadership and ability to pragmatically resolve complex HSE situations;
Know how to work under pressure.
