Job Title: Finance Officer
Reports to: West Africa Finance Manager
Location: Lome, Togo
Employment Type: Full Time (8:00 am-4:30 pm Monday-Friday)
Job Scope
The Finance Officer is responsible for managing funds, completing Accounting and Bookkeeping duties in the Francophone West Africa office, reporting to the West Africa Finance Manager

General Description of Role & Expectations
Disbursement and Settlement (Field Visits)
- Facilitate the disbursement of funds to (FRs/ZL/ZC)
- Facilitate any other disbursements of funds to the field as and when required.
- Follow up and collect FRs Visit Reports from the Field Rep Department and prepare the accountability for the disbursed visit fees.
- Follow up and collect Field Leaders Visit Reports from Admins and prepare the accountability for the disbursed visit fees.
- Manage Cash Floats for the FWA Office by making proper use of a Cash Management Tool.
Reporting:
- Prepare reports for all FRs/ZL/ZC/MT visit-related expenses, proceed with the entries in QuickBooks, and attach the necessary supporting documentation.
- Elaborate Monthly expense reports for FWA Field and Office Staff Support and proceed with the QuickBooks entries of the same.
- Elaborate Expense Report for Project activities as and when required and proceed with the QuickBooks entries of the same.
Finances:
- Proper historical record-keeping will be expected.
- Financial accountability
- Proper allocation and careful use of funds is required.
- High value is placed on integrity and discretion.
- Review of field financial reports
- It is also important to remember that the function of the office is to serve and support the work in the field. There should not be a controlling tone or harassment of those in the field.
- It is likely our field staff will challenge patience and not always send reports in the right format, on time, and properly filled. Grace, mercy, and patience are needed to help them adjust to the expected level we need. However, we never stop encouraging them to raise their level of reporting.
