Position: IT Intern

Base Location: Lome, Togo

Position Type: Internship

About the Role

As IT Intern, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and security of servers and networks. You play a key role in the company’s digital transformation by optimizing our daily work tools.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Infrastructure Management: Install, configure, and maintain servers (physical and virtual) as well as network equipment;
• Maintenance and Monitoring: Ensure system monitoring to prevent failures and guarantee maximum availability (SLA);
• IT Security: Manage backups, apply security patches, and ensure data protection (firewalls, antivirus, access rights);
• Desk Support: Provide level 2/3 expertise to users and resolve complex incidents;
• IT Evolution: Participate in migration projects (Cloud, automation) and write technical documentation;

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or above in in Computer Science
• Prior experience in a similar role
• Fluency in both English and French is essential, as English is the working language at Huawei.
• Operating Systems: Proficiency in Windows Server (Active Directory, Azure AD) and/or Linux (Debian, CentOS, Ubuntu)
• Virtualization: VMware, Hyper-V, or Proxmox.
• Networking: TCP/IP, VPN, VLAN, DNS, DHCP.
• Cloud & Automation: Knowledge of AWS/Azure and scripting (PowerShell, Bash, Python).
• Backup: Veeam, Bacula, or similar solutions.
• Strong organizational skills and adherence to security procedures
